British Columbian Online Gambling Site Finally Re-Launches

When the British Columbia Lottery Corporation launched the first regulated online gambling site in North America, their servers had been hit with an unexpected volume of traffic. The traffic had brought down the servers, causing the online gambling site, Playnow.com, to come down.

PlayNow.com had been down for several weeks, but the B.C.L.C.has finally restarted their website. The site has returned to operational status and is now accepting players who meet the criteria for play.

In order to register for PlayNow.com, there are some criteria that must be met. Players must be at least 19 years of age in order to play the games, and only residents of British Columbia are entitled join. This information must be confirmed prior to playing.

PlayNow has incorporated many of the best features of online gambling, including sports betting, an online casino, bingo, and even the ability to purchase lottery tickets over the Internet.

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation has established an online gambling site which could easily be emulated by the United States. While the regulation of online gambling has been working its way through congress, it has been making limited progress due to certain legislators being increasingly harsh toward.

Online gambling, particularly online casinos and poker, are both a major source of potential profit. Only a regulatory body would allow the U.S. government to profit off of Internet gambling, provided they would follow in the footsteps of the B.C.L.C.
